Woke up and today was the day to leave. I flew to San Diego in the afternon where Brick Robbins picked me up from the airport. We had a couple beers and called it a night.
I will miss Freddie looking at her nemesis, Mr. Cat.
Filling up olive oil bottles
One last look at the resupply boxes
Stuff that will/might be mailed to me later.
The vacuum sealer got a good workout
and so did the dehydrator
These are the clothes I had in 1996 when I hiked the PCT from the Mexican Border to highway 58. I dug them up so I could retake the same photos at the border.
I always thought this label was interesting. I bought these wool pants at Goodwill in Yakima around 1995. They have been around Australia, the whole PCT, and on a bike trip down the Pacific Coast Highway.
Still had the shoes.
New clock cardboard, weighs a lot less than the other one I just made
New cardboard sign!
I got a bunch of fortune cookies and put them in all my resupply boxes, this one was really interesting.
PCT to do list done!
One last fix-it project prior to flying out.
...and one more last look at the boxes.
Driving to the PDX Airport
Freddie along for the ride
and so was rush hour traffic.
Figured I'd better make use of all the moving walkways I could
Got this at a yard sale in Naches WA in the mid 90's.
Brick in his tri-color truck.
When the bar brings out your receipt, they bring it in a journal.
Outside the Veronica Mars HQ.
The bar had a can of my favorite beer from Australia.
I remember my Dad used to get this.
Inside Lestat's coffee shop..it is quite the San Diego place.
and bye to the Veronica Mars HQ
